My practice centres around reimagining what no longer is, what once was, or what could have been. I construct scenes of fantasy in nature, focused on my family histories as a way to begin connections with the past. I create compositions through family-told story, archive material, family photography, folklore, folk tale, and Fauvist influence; the vast amount of source material requires a ‘curation’ or organising of ‘chaos’ into an ‘order’ of narrative.
